Carb Cycling
Carb cycling is the primary nutrition protocol that Circadian Nutrition utilizes. We spend over 70% of the year cycling between low, moderate, and high carbohydrate days depending on seasonality and goals.
Carb cycling is a dietary approach in which you alternate carb intake on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. It is commonly used to lose fat, maintain physical performance while dieting, or overcome a weight loss plateau
For example, higher carbohydrates are provided on training days to refuel muscle glycogen, which can improve performance and reduce muscle breakdown. On rest or cardio days, keeping carbohydrates to a minimum can help encourage increase fat metabolism.
