It all begins with a problem.  That problem leads to an idea of a potential solution.  When one becomes obsessed with mastering that solution, it evolves into a passion.  Lucky for Matt, this passion was a personal goal of his from a very young age.  That goal is to live to the age of 120, while maintaining quality of life.  Sharing time with loved ones, getting into the gym for a workout, traveling the world, and making unforgettable memories – Matt is very confident that the future will bring much more abundance to not only his life, but all the people that surround him.

The idea of creating Funxtional Creations started back in 2017, while working as a personal trainer at a commercial gym.  The company began as a conceptual product for trainers that was a fanny pack containing various types of fitness equipment.  Shortly after the inception of Funxtional Creations, Matt learned that his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.  This news was shocking, which led to an interruption in growing his company.  Other than being able to provide love and emotional support to his mother, Matt felt helpless and had no idea what was going to happen.  There had to be something he could do to help.  He decided to learn about cancer – what caused it, the things that could be done to cure it, and also prevent it.  This led him down the path of exploring fasting and gave him insight into how much the environment affects people’s health and wellbeing.  From there the tinkering began and bio-hacking the human body and its physiology became an overwhelming passion for him.  His mother is now recovered and she is thriving thanks to the successful implementation of the FXC program.

Matt graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Exercise Biology.  Being involved in many sports since young age including playing football for UC Davis, Matt knew that he wanted to pursue a career in health and fitness industry.  Through his studies, he found a fascination in exercise physiology and in particular, the interactions between the human body and the environment.  This provided him with the urge to begin applying and sharing his knowledge with people who are motivated to improve their health and fitness.  He began personal training a few months after graduating college in 2013 and through his career, he has spent over 10,000 hours working with all types of clients.  This experience combined with a strong understanding of biomechanics, enables him to teach his clients how to execute movements properly and safely.  Matt has been able to create a blueprint that enables his clients obtain their most sought after goals in the healthiest way possible!
